As a therapist, it’s easy to feel a temptation to fix the problem and go into solutions. However, the best thing we can do is simply keep bringing awareness to the thing that is happening. Whether it is the negative interaction cycle or any other behavior. The act of talking about it over and over again will bring about change. This was quite a big light bulb moment for me as a therapist in training. There’s so much power in making the implicit explicit.
