I am a bit confused between this step and [[EFT Step 4 - Reframe the Problem]]. They overlap?
This one seems to focus more on just having each partner identify that a cycle is at play. Perhaps focusing more on how each protective move / secondary emotion is triggering the other.
When identifying the cycle, focus on identifying the behaviors first. What does each person DO in response to the other? This will make it easier to map the emotions underneath next.
