In addition to classifying each video with a content bucket, it would be helpful to identify each video’s intended target audience. There are three types:
- True Fans
- Core and Casual
- Exponential Potential
The goal is to deliver 80% of my videos for my core audience, while also publishing 20% of my videos with the intention of attracting a larger audience outside my core niche.
Think of it this way, core audience = Book Tech. This my “floor” and baseline. The more of these videos I make, the higher my overall baseline will become. Exponential potential is my ceiling. Keep trying to break through it. Check out [[Tweets From Denver]] for more on this topic.
> I follow the 80/20 rule: 80% of videos need to be expected to do well with a current audience. 20% of your videos that go out need to be intentionally designed so that IF it hits, it can change the entire future of your channel for the better.
