I came across this Shabad during NJ smg 2025, and wanted to save it to my [[Shabad bookmarks]] for two reasons. First, the pangtee below resonated with me: >**ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥** >I praise my Guru in so many ways, with joyful love and affection. It reminds me that there are so many [[Different ways of expressing love in Sikhi]]. Second, the pangtee below sparked my curiosity. ** >My tongue is not satisfied by praising Him; He has linked my consciousness with the Lord, my Beloved. I'm not sure if this is the intended message, but in this instance, it feels like a reminder that simply doing paath or simran out loud is not enough, you also need to be focused internally for it to make any difference. There is also the connection to [[Hukam]] and how Guru Sahib is the one "linking" us internally, which is ultimately a blessing if we are lucky enough to experience that focus while reciting out loud. ** I praise my Guru in so many ways, with joyful love and affection. My mind is imbued with the True Guru; He has preserved the make of its making. ** My tongue is not satisfied by praising Him; He has linked my consciousness with the Lord, my Beloved. O Nanak, my mind hungers for the Name of the Lord; my mind is satisfied, tasting the sublime essence of the Lord. ||2||
