In July 2025, I decided to update my LinkedIn profile. Even though I use it as a secondary platform to [[My YouTube channel]], it is actually an entirely different audience. It is mostly used for [[My book club]]. Headline: - Therapist-in-Training | Tech YouTuber | Helping People Navigate Life Online & Off About Section: Hi there! It's great to meet you. My name is Maneetpaul, but I go by Maneet (pronounced muh-neet). Thanks for stopping by my profile and taking a moment to read this. Let me tell you a bit about myself. There are two things you should know about me: (1) I'm currently studying to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, and (2) I also have a YouTube channel focused on tech. Let's start with a bit of context. To be transparent, I never planned on becoming a therapist until recently. For the first 10 years of my professional life, I worked in the IT industry fixing computers and designing conference rooms for big corporate offices. I still hold my day job doing this type of work, but I realized a few years ago this was no longer the path I wanted to follow. After going through some major life transitions, I discovered the power of therapy. Look, I'll be the first to admit that therapy was never something I thought I'd need. I held a lot of bias toward it. But taking that leap of faith and entering a therapy room was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It has completely changed the way I view the world, and myself. I found the experience so profound that I knew this was a career I wanted to pursue. Outside of work and school, I also have a passion for making YouTube videos. Even though my content is focused on technology, it actually connects quite deeply with my work as an aspiring therapist. My YouTube channel has always been rooted in helping people use tech to live a more intentional life. Whether it's reading more books on a Kindle, or using different apps to increase life organization. I've built up a following of 30,000+ subscribers on YouTube, and also host a nonfiction book club with 2,000+ bookworms. At the end of the day, if I had to describe what I do, I'd say my mission is pretty clear: To help people navigate life, both online and off. Old: I used to hate reading. While growing up, I was the student who found book summaries on the internet instead of reading the book assigned for class. I'd do anything to avoid reading. I never understood how people could willingly read books for fun. But everything changed when I got my first full-time job. Suddenly, I was an adult earning a paycheck. Unfortunately, I didn't know much about personal finance at the time, so I decided to do what any millennial would do - I googled it. That led me to several resources, including a nonfiction book titled I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi. Sounds promising, right? I bought it. I didn't know it then, but this book would be the spark that led me to fall in love with reading. I had no idea there was a whole world of nonfiction books out there to help me grow and learn new skills. These were so much better than the books I read while in school. I was hooked. But then I ran into another problem. Even though I was buying a bunch of new crispy nonfiction books, I wasn't actually reading them. I quickly realized that all the books I had bought were starting to collect dust. Essentially, I loved the idea of reading books but sucked at actually reading them. Luckily, I found a solution to this problem. In 2020, I bought my first Kindle. Buying a Kindle was, and still is, the single best purchase I've ever made in my life. This little device has not only allowed me to read more books, but I also now have a simple system for revisiting the knowledge I've learned in books I have already finished. My Kindle has allowed me to level up in so many ways. I want to help you harness the power of digital reading. After buying my Kindle, I started posting YouTube videos about it. Since then, I've attracted over 20,000 subscribers to my YouTube channel and 1,000+ bookworms to my monthly nonfiction book club. On top of that, I've also published 4+ books of my own that have become Amazon bestsellers. If you're interested in learning more, here are three ways I can help: 1.
