In addition to my [[Zettelkasten Rules]], having a clear goal and purpose for [[My Zettelkasten system]] as a whole can help guide me in how I structure everything. When deciding on complexities and changes, these goals will act as my north star. ## My system will... 1. Be a playground for **connecting ideas** between areas of my life in unexpected ways. The whole point of switching to a Zettelkasten system was to surface related notes that would otherwise be forgotten. 2. Function as a hub for **evergreen notes** that are useful, accessible, and designed for the long term. The aim is to invest more time in distilling high-quality notes. I want this system to be the one I use for the next several decades of my life, one that becomes more valuable the more I use it. 3. Act as my **second brain**. It is a space for offloading things that would be helpful to remember (e.g., learnings, recipes, call notes, etc.) while also being a space for research and ideation. All notes are written for myself as the primary audience (which means some published notes may contain broken links or be missing context, that is okay).
